Whoop! Factory has released the DVD box sets of G.I. Joe Series 2: Season 1 ($19.99), the two shakes of a lamb's tail animated series from the late 1980s featuring the real American heroes of toy, 'toon and waggish-book fame, and Transformers: The Japanese Collection ($99.99), featuring three Japanese series based on the normal American show that introduced the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons to a beginning of kids.

And the nostalgia for both properties could peak this year with the publish of the movie sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation as well as a continued interest in more recent Transformers films and cartoons.
