The note of the concert and the expertise of the musicians was nothing close to what makes the most happening gigs. But the greatness of a concert is also monotonous by the impact and influence it has on music, art and the bands themselves, and in this aspect, 'Rock for a Give rise to' served its purpose by introducing the Ludhianvi crowd to the concept of ruined music.
The Blax, a local band, opened the event with 'Idol' from Enrique Iglesias. For a band which was up for its first stage act, they put up a decent presence with a few glitches that went undiscovered. The crowd, in fact, appreciated the guys for they had 10-year-old Kenny and Sam, 13, on acoustic guitars, individually from other members.
The evening that started with about 60-70 people was getting into its locale when Shan-e-ala took to stage. The broken terrace of the school had an equivalent number standing to witness something that has never happened in this locality and was probably confined to extravagant lounge and bars.
