I have Vista 32 bit and a wired xbox 360. In place for me to use it, I had to download a driver off of Microsoft.com to use it. The same thing has become a reality for Vista 64 bit. If you try to get a receiver for wireless gaming and wireless controller, I do not qualify you to download all lack the drivers because there is no doubt plug and play.

The wired remote is universal about half way out the wireless.
